Activities of the Economic Advisor
Since the establishment of the division, the Economic Advisor has been actively involved in a variety of issues, the majority of which are classified. Following is a short review of the Advisor’s unclassified activities:
Financing of the Palestinian Authority
Activities in which the Council formulated a comprehensive survey of the budget of the Palestinian Authority, and proposed a number of methods for dealing with the Hamas victory.
This work commenced at the beginning of 2006, at the request of the Foreign Minister, and was presented to the Minister in February 2006.
Required resources to fight violence
The Economic Advisor's activities related to the issue of resources required to fight violence; focused on the enforcement process and examined the budget additions required by the Police, Ministry of Justice, Court Administration, Ministry of Labor and Welfare and Prison Authority.
Alongside these, the Advisor examined the expected outputs from these parties.

Results and recommendation:
The results of the examination were presented to the Ministers' Committee against Violence, headed by the former Minister for Public Security, Gideon Ezra, and were adopted by the ministers.
